Children’s Theater of Charlotte Homeschool Bookings
The Children's Theater of Charlotte provides Homeschool Booking options at a discounted rate for school groups and families. Groups with fewer than 20 participants can reserve tickets for each performance using the "Homeschool (less than 20)" link below each show. Make it a full day of learning by exploring the ImaginOn children's library and all its resources while you’re there. Please note: school shows are designed to provide an educational enrichment experience for school-aged students and do not permit children under 4 to attend.
Free Admission to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Take advantage of Free Admission every Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 9 PM. Explore modern art with your homeschool students and make the most of this exciting opportunity!
The Mint Museum offers free admission for kids under 18 with a paid adult! Bring the whole family for free entry every Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 9 PM. During this time, kids can explore the Lewis Family Gallery, open Wednesdays from 5-8 PM, where they can engage in hands-on art activities in a fun and interactive creative space.
Free DIY Kits at Home Depot Kids Workshops
Visit your local Home Depot on the First Saturday of every month from 9 AM to 12 PM for a FREE building kit (while supplies last)! Kids can build and paint their creations in-store or request a kit to take home for a DIY project later with a friend. Register in advance to reserve your spot and ensure you don’t miss out on the fun!
Free Tuesdays at the Schiele Museum
Thanks to the generous support of Duke Energy, the Schiele offers free admission for everyone on the second Tuesday of every month between 4 PM and 8 PM! You can also enjoy planetarium shows for just $5 per person to make the most of your visit!
Kate Skate offers discounted admission on Homeschool Skate Days and Friday Stroll and Roll events! During Stroll and Roll, kids are welcome to bring any set of wheels—whether it's roller skates, scooters, or tricycles—to join the fun. In addition to skating, admission to these weekday activities includes access to the indoor play gym for little ones who meet the height requirement. *Remember, waivers are required for all skaters!
Indoor Playground at Steele Creek Community Place
Steele Creek Community Place offers a free indoor play space, perfect for children under 12 years old with parent supervision! It's an excellent option for a cold or rainy day outing, though with limited space, it’s best suited for smaller groups. And while you're there, be sure to visit Javesca Coffee Shop for a treat!
Sign up for the Kids Skate Free club and give your kids under 12 the chance to skate for FREE! The club requires the purchase of an annual pass for just $4.99. Annual pass holders will receive free admission. Skate rentals and play areas are not included. Please note: This offer cannot be combined with other offers, special events, or birthday parties.
Get your jump on for just $10 during Mid-Day Madness at Big Air. Visit every Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 1 PM to 4 PM and enjoy discounted fun. All participants must complete a liability waiver before they can jump. *Discount not available when local schools are on break.
Superior Play offers open play on weekdays from 10 AM - 6 PM, providing a fun and active indoor playground perfect for any day! Kids can enjoy jungle gyms, slides, swings, basketball hoops, and trampolines! Visit on Wednesdays for their Charitable Play Days to enjoy an added discount from 10 AM to 1 PM. Please note that waivers are required for all participants. Prices may change when local schools are out on break.

North Carolina Homeschools (K-12) registered in the state of North Carolina can reserve two free visits per school year by calling (336)879-7700. Free homeschool vouchers cannot be redeemed for a group. Visitors can enjoy free parking and free shuttle services to make the most of their visit!
